Biography

Cenk Usel is a London & Istanbul based Art Market professional who is working at the intersections of Contemporary Art and Finance. He holds a MA in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute / University of Manchester in London and a BA in Economics from Istanbul Bilgi University. His published master’s thesis is about the contemporary art gestures that practiced in vanguard NFTs.

 

For the last couple of years, he worked in several institutions in the art world including gallery, advisory, bank and research companies, where he gained expertise in the art business. In order to delve into the nuances of the art world more specifically, Cenk has been contributing Made In Bed Magazine London with his featured columns about art market and contemporary art. He is especially interested in democratisation of art market in the context of art as an asset class and various opportunities in the sale & acquisition of contemporary works.
